JP BREHONY
President, Commonwealth Housing Corporation
JP Brehony has been building homes in Northern Virginia for twenty-five years. He is a second-generation builder, who moved to the area in the 1960s from Northern New Jersey. He earned a Masters in Science from Penn State University, and practiced as a psychologist in the public sector for some years prior to joining his father in the land development and construction business. JP went on to earn a second Masters in Business to assist him in the day-to-day administration of that company. He was employed by both Stanley Martin Corporation as their Director of Sales and served as Director of Renaissance Custom Homes Division. His own company, Commonwealth Housing Corporation, was founded in the mid 1990s.
JP currently lives in Vienna, Virginia with his wife Deborah, their dog and their cat. They have two children, Matthew and Katelyn, both of whom live in New York City. JP plays guitar, likes to sing, make music videos and write in his free time. JP and Deborah are active in the community and members of Vienna Presbyterian Church.
