THE PROCESS

We recognize that of the few who venture out to build a custom home, most of those do so only once in a lifetime.  It's comforting to know that we have been in business over twenty years, and during that time, we have honed a process to keep our clients safe, comfortable and secure.  After an initial meeting to determine the parameters and scope of the project, we assign one of our architects to work directly with each person or couple as part of a design team.  We then enter into our initial Professional Consultation Agreement. (PCA).  The PCA is an engagement letter that requires a retainer of approximately 5% of the estimated contract cost.  This "mobilization fee" is directly applied to the contract deposit once the home is designed and the construction costs are finalized.

Our contracts can be customized in many ways, either including or excluding site costs.  Both fixed-price and cost-plus contracts can be written.

We will help and assist in the home loan process, and have numerous avenues and contacts for you to explore.

It is comforting to know that in our internal book-keeping, we open a completely independent and separate account for each homeowner.  At no time are any monies mixed, loaned to or borrowed by someone other than that account.

We will help you through the design and selection process.  Deborah Brehony, Senior designer at www.OohLaLa-Decor.com, will work directly with you in the selection of any and all allowances.  Allowances include flooring, cabinetry, paint colors, tile, carpeting and other flooring, lighting and plumbing fixtures.  And ALL allowance items are given to you at our own discounted builder pricing! Deborah is also available to work with you on decorating ideas and furniture placement as a separate agreement outside of your contract.
